note is a free and open-source, browser-based text editor available at note.directory. The source code is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT License. By using this application, you agree to these terms.

The Service

note is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. It is a free tool with no guarantees of availability, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Your Data

Local storage: Notes are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data will delete your notes.
Google Drive sync: If you choose to sign in with Google, your notes are synced to your own Google Drive account in a hidden app-specific folder. We do not have access to your Google Drive files. You can disconnect at any time.
No server storage: We do not store your notes on any server. All data remains either in your browser or in your own Google Drive account.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for backing up your own data.
Do not use this service for storing sensitive information such as passwords or confidential documents.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of note shall not be liable for any data loss, damages, or issues arising from the use of this application.
